Saturday: National Day of Puppetry

The Center For Puppetry Arts is a magical place in the middle of the city. It is a place where stories come to life for the entire family.  We love spending special weekend moments at various shows, and Amelia always enjoys making her own puppets in the free post-show create-a-puppet workshops.

If you are near Atlanta, you need to check it out. And this weekend is the perfect chance! Saturday, April 27th is the National Day of Puppetry. Museum admission is free for the afternoon events (which include free sock puppet making, The Good Food Truck on site, and a beer/wine bar for the parents).  Reserve in advance if you want to catch a show - and you totally should! - the noon and 2:00 performances are Brer Rabbit and Friends, recommended for ages 4+.

Visit the Center for Puppetry Arts website for more information and to buy tickets.  The National Day of Puppetry is a holiday sponsored by Puppeteers of America.
